Happy Birthday to the funnest, always-game-for-everything, most handsome and smartest German I know! You and Whitty have been our favorite travel partners since the day we met on the dusty Annapurna trail in 2009 – 11 years! I swear we weren’t only hiking together because we needed your cash to get back to the city. But you funding a bunch of strangers who ran out of money in the middle of nowhere is what makes you so special. Those weeks together were some of the funnest of our whole trip.
As luck would have it we both had kids a few years later and they too have become instant travel buddies – already meeting in Germany, US, Spain, Slovenia and Austria.
We are always excited to meet up because of your zeal for adventure and exploring. The energy you invest into each place (yes can be exhausting some time!) is bar none and your excitement never diminishes.
My wish for you is just this – may your thirst for exploring always stay strong and may you continue to feed it – when possible with us by your side.
